Hi everyone. We've got a great update for this month, jam-packed with awesome features for calling, automations, and AI agents. So, let's review them together.
We recently introduced smart call flows, giving you the flexibility to build custom phone trees with features like call queues, call forwarding, and AI calling agents. But when a customer calls, how do you know exactly which path they took through your call flow? Well, now we can see the entire journey. Under every inbound call in your conversation timeline, you will now find a call details section showing everything that happened from the moment the call came in until it ended. You can see which IVR option the customer selected, which team members received the call and who was unavailable or skipped, and eventually who answered. You can also see events during the call, including when the call was answered, when recording started, and when the call ended. This gives you a clear picture of how every incoming call was handled, making it much easier to troubleshoot missed calls and optimize your call flows.
Next up, another great calling improvement. AI call summaries are a great way to quickly understand what happened during a call without listening to the recording or reading the entire transcript. Until now, these summaries followed the standard format, highlighting the conversation and next steps. But what if you want to customize exactly what information gets captured? Now you can simply click Customize and give AI specific instructions on how to summarize your calls. For example, let's say you run a trade school and your AI calling agent helps qualify prospective students. You can instruct the AI to specifically capture which program the student is interested in and their motivation for choosing it. Now, whenever that information comes up during a call, your custom AI summary will clearly highlight it, making it much easier for your team to review and follow up.
We've also made it easier for teams using HubSpot to track call types and outcomes directly in Salesmsg. During a call, simply open the calling widget and choose the call type and outcome. For example, let's set this call type to Demo and select Qualified from the custom outcomes we've configured in HubSpot. You can do this during the call or afterwards, since the calling widget stays open to give your team time to finish tagging the call and adding any wrap-up notes. And the best part? All of this information automatically syncs back to HubSpot. You can review it in the contact activity timeline and use it to build reports on your team's calling performance.
Next, we made a big improvement to the AI knowledge base. Previously, you could add websites as knowledge sources, but you had to do each page individually. Now, with Import multiple URLs, you can import an entire website from a single link. For example, let's say I want to train my AI agent on the Salesmsg website. I'll simply select Import multiple URLs, enter the homepage, and click Import. Salesmsg automatically crawls the website, discovers its child pages, and processes them for the AI. Once the pages are ready, you can review everything that was imported and disable any pages you don't want your agent to use. It's a much faster way to give your AI agent access to all information across your website or help center.
And finally, you can now trigger Salesmsg automations using webhooks from external apps or your own custom code. When setting up a workflow, campaign, or AI agent, simply enable Enroll contacts by webhook in your trigger settings. Once you publish, Salesmsg generates a unique webhook URL that you can copy and use in any external system that supports webhooks. All you need to provide is the contact's phone number, with the option to include their name and email. When the webhook is triggered, Salesmsg automatically finds that contact, or creates a new one if they don't exist, and enrolls them into your automation. This makes it easy to connect Salesmsg with your other tools and trigger customer conversations directly from external events.
And that's a wrap for this monthly update. Thanks for watching, and as always, I'll see you in the next video.
