So if you get a lot of missed calls and you want something that is better than voicemail, or perhaps you don't have phone support but you still get a lot of calls with frequently asked questions such as location and business hours, then this feature is for you. In this brief video, I'll walk you through how you can set it up for your business today.
Setting up your AI calling agent is simple. Head over to the agents page and you will see a new tab for calling. Click on it and then select new agent. From there, you can choose a template or start from scratch with a custom agent. Give your agent a name to start and then customize the greeting message. This is what the callers will hear when the agent answers the phone. And you can choose from a wide selection of high-quality voices.
If you want your agent to handle a broad range of questions, you can enable the AI knowledge base and even select which documents the agent should reference. Or alternatively, you can rely fully on the prompt. The prompt is what controls how your agent behaves. We provide a strong starting template that you can tweak for your specific use case. And for this demo, I have configured an agent to answer frequently asked questions about sales message.
Before going live, you can test your agent right away. Simply click test agent and it will simulate a live call so you can hear how it responds and fine-tune the setup. So, let's give it a test drive.

Once you're happy with the setup, activate the agent and assign it to your inbox. From calling settings, enable the AI calling agent and choose which agent you'd like to use.
Depending on your workflow, you can let calls ring your team first for a preset number of seconds before handing them to the agent or you can send calls directly to the agent. Every AI handled call is automatically recorded and transcribed. And for added visibility, you can even have recordings delivered straight to your email.
